Starting
What does a school need to start?
Your current student lists, fee records and staff list, in whatever form you keep them: spreadsheets, another system, or paper. We move them into Dehreen for you and check them with you before your first day.
Do we need new computers or tablets?
No. Dehreen runs in a web browser on the phones and computers you already have. A tablet is nice for the owner, never required.
Do teachers need phones in class?
No. Teachers mark the paper register the way they always have. The front desk photographs it and Dehreen reads it. Teachers use Dehreen at home or in the school library, before and after the school day.
Can we ask for something that is not there yet?
Yes. Tell us what your school needs. Most requests are built and in your hands within 15 days.
Money
Which payment channels does Dehreen handle?
Cash at the counter, transfers into any of your bank accounts, JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast, 1-Bill and cheques. Any channel your school already uses.
Can parents pay through Dehreen?
Parents pay the way they already do. Dehreen reads the slip, the screenshot or the bank statement, puts each payment on the right child and month, and traces it into your accounts. Anything paid but not yet received stays flagged, with where it was last seen.
Can a receipt be changed after it is printed?
No. A wrong receipt is cancelled and a new one issued, and both stay on the record. See Trust and records.
Parents and messages
Does Dehreen message parents on its own?
Never. Dehreen drafts the message, a person at your school reads and edits it, and only then is it sent on WhatsApp. Every message and every reply stays on the child's record.
Does it work in Urdu?
Yes. Receipts are printed in English and Urdu, messages go out in Urdu, Roman Urdu or English, and parents get tonight's guidance in the language they read.
A family has one phone and three children. Does that work?
Yes. Several children can use one family phone. A laptop helps, but it is never required.
Teachers and learning
Is this about watching teachers?
No. It is about every teacher walking into class prepared, and knowing the same evening which lessons did not land, so they can be taught again the next day. Nothing is recorded in the classroom.
Will students use it to cheat?
Dehreen guides and asks questions back. It will not write an essay or answer a test. The work stays the student's own.
Price and records
How much does it cost?
Dehreen is priced per school, not per student, so it does not cost more as you grow. We share the price in the demo, once we know your campuses.
